Job description

Within the IT department, the BI DATA department is responsible for supporting the SAS platforms (SAS 9.4 and SAS VIYA), managing ETL tools and maintaining the Data Warehouses.
As SAS-admin your range of tasks includes :
    • You will work in collaboration with your fellow SAS administrators to manage licenses, security groups, installation of upgrades, bug fixes, management of license keys in existing environments.
    • You will also have to control the user access to BI applications (SAS 9.4 and SAS VIYA) and verify the access to the data used in BI applications (e.g. configuration connection to different data sources, loading data into CAS libraries, memory promotion, secure data access control, ...)
    • You will also participate in the standardisation of working methods at system level (architecture) and at the level of the different applications (functionalities).
    • You will also optimally manage the applications for which you are responsible by automating tasks (via scripts, etc.) and by taking the necessary preventive measures so that these environments/applications continue to function optimally.
    • You have a good knowledge of general functionality of SAS applications in order to communicate effectively with SAS users and developers
    • You also have basic knowledge of the various components of the IT system in order to be able to work with the Operations Department in the event of incidents.
    • You understand the operation of the technical IT architecture (servers, network, storage, etc.) of the applications under your responsibility - and can provide the necessary substantiated advice in case of problems
    • You understand the issues and the importance of security in relation to BI applications and the data used in these applications. It is therefore important to apply the various guidelines of the hierarchy meticulously.
    • You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining technical documentation on the applications you will be managing (e.g. installation manuals, user group management, good practices, etc.).
    • Finally, it is important that you are customer-oriented, that you ensure the availability and continuity of SAS services in the production environment, that you inform the BI DATA team, users of SAS applications and suppliers in case of 'incidents' and that you also ensure their follow-up.
    • Finally, you will have to act as a privileged intermediary between the provision of services and the functioning of services and you will answer questions (via tickets) from BI customers within the SLAs.
Profile description
    • You have a degree of higher education of the long type (Master), preferably in a Computer Science field or equivalent through experience
    • You have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in a relevant position
    • You have a deep knowledge of SAS.
    • You have a good knowledge of the basic elements of IT architecture
    • You have a good knowledge of networks
    • You have a good knowledge of Linux servers
    • As you will be working in a bilingual environment, knowledge of the other official language is an asset
